Sambutan Hari Kebangsaan
The diversity of culture is celebrated, with the school community coming together to celebrate the 69th National Day, themed “Malaysia MADANI: Kesejahteraan Dinikmati” (Malaysia MADANI: Well-being Enjoyed). The celebration was held to foster patriotism, appreciate independence, and appreciate the cultural diversity that is the identity of Malaysia.
The event began with the singing of the national anthem, the song “Lagun Pulau Pinang” and the school song, followed by the Ikrar Rukun Negara and a speech by the principal. The Independence Day video also brought back the students to the history and sacrifices that shaped the country’s independence.
Subsequently, the students presented various interesting performances, including the “Ikan Kekek” dance, the sign language performance “Ini Suara Kita”, the drama “Warisan Demi Cinta Nyonya” and the Nyonya dance, the recitation of the poem “Pahlawan Kemerdekaan” and the traditional Sabah dance. The Independence Quiz was also held to test the students’ knowledge about Malaysian history and independence.
The climax of the celebration was the “MERDEKA!” chant, which was repeated seven times, followed by the singing of patriotic songs in a group. The entire school community also raised the Jalur Gemilang flag while singing patriotic songs with great enthusiasm, thus creating a lively atmosphere and instilling a sense of pride as Malaysians.
This celebration is not just about celebrating independence, but also a platform to foster unity, appreciate cultural diversity, and instill a love for the country among the entire school community.
