Choral Speaking Competition

On 14th July 2026 (Tuesday), Penang Chinese Girls’ High School held its annual English Choral Speaking Competition. The event brought together students from different classes to showcase their talents through voice, expression, and teamwork. Held in the Primary School Hall, the competition received an enthusiastic response, with a lively atmosphere and an engaged audience throughout the event.

Choral Speaking is a form of group recitation that emphasizes clear pronunciation, vocal expression, rhythm, and synchronization.

A total of 10 teams participated. The students spent several weeks preparing for the competition, focusing on expression, coordination, and creative choreography. Their dedication was clearly reflected in their performances, as every team took to the stage with confidence and delivered an impressive presentation.

After careful deliberation from the panel of judges, the results were announced as follows:

Junior Level Category

Champion: JZ1

First Runner-up: JZ3

Second Runner-up: JC3

Senior Level Category

Champion: SZ2

First Runner-up: SZ1

The competition not only provided students with a platform to showcase their talents but also strengthened their teamwork and collaborative spirit. More importantly, it served as a celebration of voice, unity, and expression, reminding everyone that powerful messages can be conveyed even more effectively through collective effort.
